Sant Pura Dana Charitable Trust felicitates Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher

Youth should follow ideals of great saints

In a function observed in the memory of late Sant Gurbaksh Singh Ji Danna, chairman of Sant Pura Dana Charitable Trust, Sant Tejwant Singh Ji today felicitated Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) parliamentary candidate for Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher at Gurudwara Guru Arjun Dev Ji Domana (Akhnoor Road Jammu).

Sant Tejwant Singh ji (Danna Wale) appreciated the decision of the Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher of representing Sikh Community at political level. He wished him luck for his endeavours and anticipated huge public support in the upcoming elections.

The function which was organized by Sant Tejwant Singh ji to pay tributes to late Sant Gurbaksh Singh Ji Danna, in which a huge gathering of sangat from all parts of J&K and other states participated.

On the sidelines of the function, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that saints like late Sant Gurbaksh Singh ji are treasure to the community. They have strived to spread the true message of Sikhism. He further praised the contribution of late Sant Gurbaksh Singh Ji as a preacher.

Lauding the role of Sant Tejwant Singh ji in preaching Sikh Rehat Maryada, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that people should encourage endeavours of such people, who try hard to make people aware of their true life.

Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher exhorted upon the youth to follow the ideals of late Sant Gurbaksh Singh ji and Sant Tejwant Singh ji. And also made an appeal before community to donate for the trust, “every individual should contribute in some way for the upliftment of the community. This trust is working tirelessly for the betterment of the community, so everyone should donate to it, so that in future we have our own universities, colleges and other professional institutes,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.

In the end Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also had a ‘Guru Ka Langar’ alongwith large gathering of Sikh sangat.

He also extended his gratitude towards Sikh Sangat for making such functions a success with their participation. Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher was accompanied by other SDP leaders.
