Gurudwara Prabandak Committee Battalam felicitates Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher

Paid obeisance at historical Gurudwara to celebrate Hola Mohalla


Jammu, March 17, 2014
Gurudwara Prabandak Committee of Battalam Poonch, under the able supervision of Master Surjit Singh today felicitated Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) parliamentary candidate for Jammu-Poonch Constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher for his untiring efforts in the upliftment of poor and downtrodden.
SDP candidate for parliamentary seat, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher was invited by the Gurudwara Prabandak committee on the occasion of Hola Mohalla, wherein he paid obeisance at the historical Gurudwara of Battalam and prayed for the wellbeing of all. He also greeted people on the occasion and wished that this New Year (Nanak Shahi Calendar) may bring lot of happiness in their life and every person must achieve what he desires.
Various senior Army officials were also present on the occasion, who also appreciated endeavours of Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
More than 7000 devotees from all across the state reached historical Gurudwara of Battalam to celebrate Hola Mohalla. Vindicating the secular legacy of Jammu and Kashmir, SDP district president for Poonch, Mohd Haji Aslam also participated in the occasion of Hola Mohalla. Besides Sikh devotees, various Muslim and Hindu workers of Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher participated in the occasion.
During the course of the celebrations, Ragi Jatha of Harpreet Singh and Thadhi Jatha of Gurmeet Singh Pathankot wale, enchanted sangat (devotees) with mesmerizing hymns. Later Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher along with other SDP leaders had a langar at Gurudwara Sahib. The Pradan of the Gurudwara, Master Surjit Singh made a fervent appeal to the people of area and Sikh Sangat of the state to support Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
