SDP launches election symbol “Candle”

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) has formally launched its
election symbol "Candle" - which symbolizes Illumination. The symbol
was launched at SDP Election Office, Nanak Nagar, here in the presence of SDP
parliamentary candidate of Jammu-Poonch constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh
Isher and party president Dr Darakshan Andrabi.
While launching the symbol Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said,
"There is an immediate need of political change in the state. The state as
well as country needs new light of happiness and prosperity. The 'Candle'
symbolises that the time has come to spread radiance in the country." SDP has
vowed to work for the uplift of poor and downtrodden.
The party's symbol was unveiled in a simple yet impressive
function, which was attended by a large gathering.
“SDP has got the approval of the Election Commission to use Candle
as its poll symbol," a Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
According to Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, Candle was chosen
as the symbol as it not only illuminates, but also is a source of inspiration.
"Candle is a sign of inspiration as it teaches us that
to get succeed one has to struggle a lot. It also signifies endurance," it
said.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also made a fervent appeal to
all the people of the state to choose right candidate, who will work for the
upliftment of the society as a whole. He urged voters to cast their vote in
favour of SDP this time and feel the change in the state politics. He exhorted
upon all to keep Candle in mind while voting, “as candle will illuminate their
lives and will bring them out of years of despair, which they are plunged in
due to successive governments,” Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said.
In the forthcoming elections, he said, "Everyone must
think whether the vote is for the people who fought for the rights of the poor
and downtrodden or those who hoodwinked them over the years."

Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher files nomination papers for Jammu-Poonch constituency

(SDP) candidate, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher Saturday filed his nomination
papers from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency.
Flanked by thousands of SDP workers
and amid slogan shouting, Gursagar Singh Isher, submitted his nomination papers
before the Returning officer, Ajeet Kumar Sahu at Deputy Commissioner's office
in Jammu.
Exuding confidence of winning seat,
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said, "Though we are new in the fray, but there
is no less enthusiasm and support from the people. We are confident of winning,
as the SDP wave is all across the state."
Sardar Gursagar Singh in his
address thanked the gathering for their enthusiasm and participation in large
numbers and said that SDP always respect the aspirations of people of the
State.
Responding to the over-whelming
support of the party workers, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that SDP has
been fighting Lok Sabha elections to intensify the movement for change in the
state politics and to involve common man, especially youth in the decision
making process of the state will be motive of SDP. He said that the political
change in the state is imminent and SDP would be playing instrumental role in
this change.
While talking to media person
after filing nomination papers, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said “If SDP comes
to power, our prime focus would be to tap the potential of youth by inducting
them into private sectors. Moreover, setting private companies in Jammu to
change the economics of the state would be motive of SDP,” said Gursagar Singh
Isher. He added that resolving long pending issues of refugees will be on top
of the priorities of SDP.
On his way out of the DC's office
after filing nomination papers, Gursagar Singh Isher was hoisted on shoulders
by party workers.

(SDP) today opened an election office at Sector 2, Nanak Nagar near Danna Wala
Gurudwara, here.
The party president, Dr Darakshan
Andrabi, in the presence of SDP parliamentary candidate for Jammu-Poonch
Constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, inaugurated the office, wherein other
party leaders, party followers and large number prominent citizens were
present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar
Gursagar Singh Isher reiterated upon the SDP workers to strive hard to uplift
downtrodden and poor strata of the society. He also asked them to work for the
unification, prosperity and brotherhood in the state as well as the country.
He said that SDP election office and
party office will remain always open for the aggrieved person. Adding that SDP
is the only political party in the state which is holding moral grounds. He
said, “The policies of SDP encompasses all the walks of the life. We have
policies for youth, women, old-age, students and sportsperson covering rural as
well as urban areas of the state,” said Gursagar Singh Isher adding that all
these policies are entailed in the manifesto of the SDP.
“We are confident that with the
love and support of people, we will come to power and deliver our promises,”
said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.

Motivated by the policies of
Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP), more than 80 prominent citizens, including
youth from remote areas of Poonch came into party fold in the presence of SDP
parliamentary candidate from Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Sardar Gursagar Singh
Isher.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, who
was in Poonch to celebrate Hola Mohalla was surprised with this spontaneous
joining. Expressing delight over the joining, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said
that god has blessed him and has given an indication of success, “Unprompted
joining of people is a positive sign that people are convinced with the policies
of the SDP. This joining came more as a surprise gift for me,” said Sardar
Gursagar Singh Isher, adding that the holy land of Poonch bequeaths what people
deserves and desires.
The people reposed faith in the
policies of SDP and assured full support to the MP candidate of the party,
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher in the upcoming elections. They said young and
energetic representative like Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher better understand
their problems.
In order to revamp the
development in hilly terrains, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that SDP
focused attention on the all-round development of the remote and hilly areas,
which are till date being overlooked by the successive governments of the
state.
He said “The prime focus of SDP
is to revamp roads of Poonch and other hilly areas, if come to power,” he
further assured people of full-fledged development in the hilly areas, spanning
from road connectivity to basic facilities, which people in hilly and remote
areas are facing. He reiterated SDP’s prime agenda of providing door-step
education to the students of hilly areas.
He appealed to the people to
positively contribute in the efforts of the SDP to carry forward its
development agenda in all areas to address their grievances and accommodate
their development needs.
He also exhorted upon youth to

Singh Isher was honored by Gatka party of Poonch, for representing Sikh
community at national politics, during Nagar Keertan Parade organized by the
Sikh community of Poonch to commemorate Hola Mohalla.
The Nagar Keertan Parade which
commenced from Gurudwara Singh Sabha Poonch after traversing through the city
of Poonch, culminated at same place, in which thousands of Sikh devotees
participated despite heavy rains. Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also marched and
chanted hymns along with Sikh devotees.
During the course of Parade,
Gatka Party honoured Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher and congratulated him for
being a voice of under-privileged people, especially Sikh Community.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher
thanked people for making Nagar Keertan a grand success, despite bad weather.
He said, “Nagar Keertan Parade of Hola Mohalla was worth watching, as the
enthusiasm of the people conquest bad weather. People from all walks of life
participated in this Nagar Keertan, which is the sign of healthy society and
community,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
During the course of the Parade,
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher interacted with children and youth to boost their

in the upliftment of poor and downtrodden.
SDP candidate for parliamentary
seat, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher was invited by the Gurudwara Prabandak
committee on the occasion of Hola Mohalla, wherein he paid obeisance at the
historical Gurudwara of Battalam and prayed for the wellbeing of all. He also
greeted people on the occasion and wished that this New Year (Nanak Shahi
Calendar) may bring lot of happiness in their life and every person must
achieve what he desires.
Various senior Army officials

More than 7000 devotees from all
across the state reached historical Gurudwara of Battalam to celebrate Hola
Mohalla. Vindicating the secular legacy of Jammu and Kashmir, SDP district

Mohalla. Besides Sikh devotees, various Muslim and Hindu workers of Sardar

The slogans of ‘Youth Lao Desh
Bachao’ reverberated in and around Dogra Hall Jammu on the visit of Socialistic
Democratic Party (SDP) parliamentary Candidate for Jammu-Poonch Constituency,
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher and party president Dr Darakshan Andrabi.
Inspired by the agenda and
farsighted vision of Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher youth, women and other
prominent citizens of the area cheered and welcomed Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher
in the form of a rally amid party slogans.
During the course of the visit, people
of the area shared their problems with SDP leaders. Reposing faith in the
policies of SDP, around 200 people including youth and women under the
influence of Ashraf came into party fold in the presence of Sardar Gursagar
Singh Isher and Dr Darakshan Andrabi. The Those who came into party fold
included Mohd Hanif (Imam of the area)
Babbar Din, Mohd Asif, Kulwant Singh, Sahil Bhatti, Mohd Nadam, Mohd

While welcoming the people into
party fold, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that development of Jammu in
general and deprived areas in particular is the prime agenda of SDP. He said,
“Development of ignored and deprived areas of the Jammu is among top priorities
of the SDP. We strive to face-lift all areas of Jammu at par with new city,”
said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
Expressing concern over the
deteriorating condition of the state youth, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said,
“SDP endeavours to make all youth party, which will entail youngsters in the
decision making process of the state. We have kept it our motive since infancy
to promote and encourage youngsters to generate ideas for nation building,”
said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
He further said that in the
present regime, youth are bewildered without proper direction, “Present regime
has plunged youth into gulch of unemployment. Owing to this quandary youth of
the state are perverted,” said Gursagar Singh Isher, adding that youth are
being digressed towards drugs and have made drugs their salvation.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher
strongly urged upon the youth to desist drugs and live healthy life, which SDP
will provide, if come to power. He said one of the major aims of SDP is to make
Jammu, a drug free state.
Residents of the Dogra Hall and
adjoining areas appreciated efforts of the Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher and
ensured full support in the upcoming elections. Ladies of the area also reposed
faith in SDP and said that Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher will be a good
representative of the people, therefore they will support him.
Similar views were shared by
youth saying that Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher being young himself, will
understand the nerve of youth very well. They also assured support in the
election.

SDP leaders on 4-day tour of Thanamandi, Rajouri, Nowshera

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) Parliamentary candidate
for Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher during his four-day
visit to hilly areas of Thanamandi, Rajouri and Nowshera has called for more
transparency and public consultation in planning and development. During the
tour Isher was accompanied by the party president Dr Dr Darakshan Andrabi and
other SDP leaders, wherein they met with local people and listened to their
grievances. The people of the remote areas accorded warm welcome to the party
leaders and shared their problems with them.
People highlighted water, electricity and road among other
problems being confronted by them in the hilly areas. They further admitted
that till date they have been wasting their votes, by casting vote to a wrong
person without knowing his credentials.
The people reposed faith in the policies of SDP and assured
full support to the MP candidate of the party, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher in
the upcoming elections. People appreciated Isher for trekking 3 kms up to the
isolated villages of Thanamandi only to meet people. They said young and
energetic representative like Isher better understands their problems, as he
can trek hilly areas to take stock of the problems faced by people, which
otherwise is not done by other politicians.

In a significant move,
Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) parliamentary candidate for Jammu-Poonch
Constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher Wednesday launched first of its kind
training-cum-employment programme at RS Pura, here for the educated and capable
youth.
Giving vent to his political
promises, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher has taken an initiative of inducting
educated youth in his business to mitigate horrendous problem of unemployment.
Vindicating prime agenda of the
party of providing employment opportunities to the educated youth, Sardar Gursagar
Singh Isher initiated a new party programme seeking to connect it with the
youth and address their issue of unemployment.
Today in a formal function at RS
Pura, SDP Parliamentary candidate inaugurated an outlet named ‘Ansh’ comprised of
full range of Gtech batteries, full range of Frugal lubricants, engine oil,
stabilizers, Inverters, coolants, gear oils among other products for providing livelihood to the educated youth of RS Pura.
Speaking on the sidelines of the
inaugural function, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that SDP is looking
forward to establish same kind of outlets in every district of the state.
“This is an initiative to rope
unemployed youth in a livelihood earning scheme. We envisage every district of
the state to have such outlets, but for a start we have kept remote and hilly
areas as our prime focus,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, adding that soon
such outlets will be opened in Poonch, Rajouri, Noushera, Mendhar,
Bari-Brahamana, Bishnah and other remote and hilly areas. “Eventually, we will
start same scheme in cities and towns,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
He said that according to this
programme, SDP will establish outlets in every district and give educated youth
a chance to discern his/her capabilities. “We provide material as well as
financial support to outlets in every district. The youth will earn according
to his/her caliber and potential by the sale of the products,” said Gursagar.
SDP parliamentary candidate said
that this is historical event in itself, as no political party or politician in
J&K state had ever thought of extending employment to the youth from their
personal business.”
He said that because of
government’s failure to provide employment, SDP has taken this initiative to
make youth eligible to earn livelihood from private sector. “We have kept it
our prime agenda to bring industrialization in the state of J&K for
employing more and more youth in skillful employment,” assured Gursagar Singh
Isher.

Democratic Party (SDP) Parliamentary Candidate for Jammu-Poonch Constituency,
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher in the aegis of party president Dr Darakshan
Andrabi Wednesday extended its membership recruitment campaign to the upper
reaches of Rajouri district, wherein thousands of people welcomed them in the
form of a rally.
On
reaching Kalakote-Rajouri, SDP leaders along with thousands of native people
marched in the form of a procession towards Grati Village amid pro-party
slogans. The procession was led by SDP District President Rajouri, Haji Aslam.
Addressing
a public rally here Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said, “I have come here not as
a neta but a son. I belong to this place and these people belong to me like my
brothers and sisters,” said Gursagar Singh Isher.
The
MP candidate added, “The development of remote areas is prime agenda of our
party, if we come to power. We strive to
usher development in real sense and not only on papers."
Sardar
Gursagar Singh Isher further said “Our manifesto contains special schemes for
rural youth, especially girls. We endeavour to encourage self-help groups in
the remote areas. Moreover, our motive is to bring higher education at
door-step of remote people,” said Gursagar Singh Isher.
Apparently
taking a dig at successive governments in the state, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher
said that he prefers to quit politics rather than hoodwinking people. “Politicians
in the state of Jammu and Kashmir are habitual of deceiving people. They come
during election time and become inaccessible for next five years,” he said.
Adding
that SDP is not constructed on the foundations of fake promises. “SDP strives
to bring people out of the fake politics. We attempt to change this elite and
individual-centric politics into real democratic politics,” said Sardar
Gursagar Singh Isher.
He

an impressive function welcomed over 150 prominent citizens, including women
and youth of Mill area, Patri RS Pura here into the party fold.
Appreciating
the decision of the people, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that people have
shown faith in SDP time and again. “We are striving to bring change in the
rotten politics of the state,” he said adding SDP is working for the upliftment

winning of a game is irrelevant but participating as a worthy sportsperson,
performing to once best capacity and maintaining quality of conduct while
playing is counted a lot at the end of the day.
He
said, “Our boys and girls are not less than anyone, only they need proper
opportunities, coaching and exposure to prove their mettle,” Gursagar Singh added
that for this purpose creation of sports temperament and encouragement to the
players is essential. He said the tournament like Ravi Singh Charak Memorial would
provide opportunities to the players to excel.
He
said it should be the moral obligation of every individual to promote sports,
as it keeps youth in proper shape and importantly away them from immoral
things.
Exhorting
upon parents to impart sportsmanship among their children, Sardar Gursagar
Singh Isher said, “Parents must make a balance between sports and studies.
Sports are as important for personality development of a children as studies
are,” he said.
He
further appealed to youth, especially girls to participate in games. He also
extended support of any kind, if needed for the promotion of sports in the
state.
“SDP
endeavours to promote every that thing which is in the favour of strong and
prosperous nation. Our party is ready to support games in the state,”Sardar
Gursagar Singh Isher said, adding in near future SDP would probably organize
tournaments to knit sportsperson from various districts of the state at common
platform.
Sardar
Gursagar Singh Isher also congratulated Vikramjeet Singh (King) and Vijay
Choudhary for organizing this tournament.

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) parliamentary candidate
for Jammu-Poonch Constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher today paid obeisance
at the sanctum of Gurudwara Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu to attend the function
organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police to commemorate the birth anniversary of
Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
On the occasion, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher offered prayers
and thanked ‘Waheguru’ for blessings and also wished for the prosperity and
happiness of the entire humanity.
The party members accompanying Sardar Gurgasar Singh Isher
remained inside the sanctum sanctorum and listened to the Gurbani Kirtan. At
the end of the function, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also had langar with
hundreds of Sikh devotees.
