Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher launches ‘Door-to-Door Campaign’

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Jammu-Poonch constituency, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher has launched a massive door-to-door campaign in a bid to give momentum to its election preparations for upcoming polls.
In the first two days of this campaign, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher visited areas of Preet Nagar, Digiana, Dashmesh Nagar, Beli Charan, Akali Kour Nagar, Gaddi Garh, Chattah, Simbal Mode, Simbal Camp, Shankar Nagar, Miran Sahib, Govind Pura, Bye-pass and Nanak Nagar, aimed to reach out to people in the state and take up their grievances and to appeal them regarding manifesto of SDP.
Elaborating about the programme, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said, “We will ask the electors to give their valuable votes to the party which understands their plight by heart. We will also interact with the people and know about their various problems, being faced by them,” said Gursagar Singh Isher.
He said that in the two days of campaigning, “We have received a good response from the people. People not only meet and interact with us but are also feeling comfortable while sharing their problems,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
He said that people are willing to see a change in the rotten state politics, which is evident from the overwhelming response. “We have received a great response from the people, which is a positive sign of development in the state politics. People are intend to change their mindsets from orthodox and self styled political parties of the state,” said Gursagar Singh Isher.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher further said, “We have launched this door-to-door campaign to tell people about our policies.”

He further exhorted upon all to cast their vote on double candles, in favour of SDP and give chance to an emerging and determined political party.

SDP launches election symbol “Candle”


People should keep candle in mind while voting to get better representative: Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) has formally launched its election symbol "Candle" - which symbolizes Illumination. The symbol was launched at SDP Election Office, Nanak Nagar, here in the presence of SDP parliamentary candidate of Jammu-Poonch constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher and party president Dr Darakshan Andrabi.
While launching the symbol Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said, "There is an immediate need of political change in the state. The state as well as country needs new light of happiness and prosperity. The 'Candle' symbolises that the time has come to spread radiance in the country." SDP has vowed to work for the uplift of poor and downtrodden.
The party's symbol was unveiled in a simple yet impressive function, which was attended by a large gathering.
“SDP has got the approval of the Election Commission to use Candle as its poll symbol," a Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
According to Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, Candle was chosen as the symbol as it not only illuminates, but also is a source of inspiration.
"Candle is a sign of inspiration as it teaches us that to get succeed one has to struggle a lot. It also signifies endurance," it said.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also made a fervent appeal to all the people of the state to choose right candidate, who will work for the upliftment of the society as a whole. He urged voters to cast their vote in favour of SDP this time and feel the change in the state politics. He exhorted upon all to keep Candle in mind while voting, “as candle will illuminate their lives and will bring them out of years of despair, which they are plunged in due to successive governments,” Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said.

In the forthcoming elections, he said, "Everyone must think whether the vote is for the people who fought for the rights of the poor and downtrodden or those who hoodwinked them over the years."

Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher files nomination papers for Jammu-Poonch constituency

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher Saturday filed his nomination papers from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency.
Flanked by thousands of SDP workers and amid slogan shouting, Gursagar Singh Isher, submitted his nomination papers before the Returning officer, Ajeet Kumar Sahu at Deputy Commissioner's office in Jammu.
Exuding confidence of winning seat, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said, "Though we are new in the fray, but there is no less enthusiasm and support from the people. We are confident of winning, as the SDP wave is all across the state."
Sardar Gursagar Singh in his address thanked the gathering for their enthusiasm and participation in large numbers and said that SDP always respect the aspirations of people of the State.
Responding to the over-whelming support of the party workers, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that SDP has been fighting Lok Sabha elections to intensify the movement for change in the state politics and to involve common man, especially youth in the decision making process of the state will be motive of SDP. He said that the political change in the state is imminent and SDP would be playing instrumental role in this change.
While talking to media person after filing nomination papers, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said “If SDP comes to power, our prime focus would be to tap the potential of youth by inducting them into private sectors. Moreover, setting private companies in Jammu to change the economics of the state would be motive of SDP,” said Gursagar Singh Isher. He added that resolving long pending issues of refugees will be on top of the priorities of SDP.
On his way out of the DC's office after filing nomination papers, Gursagar Singh Isher was hoisted on shoulders by party workers.
Earlier, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher paid obeisance at Gurudwara Bibi Chand Kour, Jewel Chowk, wherein large gathering of SDP supporters joined him upto DC office.

SDP opens Election Office at Nanak Nagar

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) today opened an election office at Sector 2, Nanak Nagar near Danna Wala Gurudwara, here.
The party president, Dr Darakshan Andrabi, in the presence of SDP parliamentary candidate for Jammu-Poonch Constituency Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, inaugurated the office, wherein other party leaders, party followers and large number prominent citizens were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher reiterated upon the SDP workers to strive hard to uplift downtrodden and poor strata of the society. He also asked them to work for the unification, prosperity and brotherhood in the state as well as the country.
He said that SDP election office and party office will remain always open for the aggrieved person. Adding that SDP is the only political party in the state which is holding moral grounds. He said, “The policies of SDP encompasses all the walks of the life. We have policies for youth, women, old-age, students and sportsperson covering rural as well as urban areas of the state,” said Gursagar Singh Isher adding that all these policies are entailed in the manifesto of the SDP.
“We are confident that with the love and support of people, we will come to power and deliver our promises,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.

Motivated by the policies of Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP), more than 80 prominent citizens, including youth from remote areas of Poonch came into party fold in the presence of SDP parliamentary candidate from Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, who was in Poonch to celebrate Hola Mohalla was surprised with this spontaneous joining. Expressing delight over the joining, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that god has blessed him and has given an indication of success, “Unprompted joining of people is a positive sign that people are convinced with the policies of the SDP. This joining came more as a surprise gift for me,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher, adding that the holy land of Poonch bequeaths what people deserves and desires.
The people reposed faith in the policies of SDP and assured full support to the MP candidate of the party, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher in the upcoming elections. They said young and energetic representative like Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher better understand their problems.
In order to revamp the development in hilly terrains, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher said that SDP focused attention on the all-round development of the remote and hilly areas, which are till date being overlooked by the successive governments of the state.
He said “The prime focus of SDP is to revamp roads of Poonch and other hilly areas, if come to power,” he further assured people of full-fledged development in the hilly areas, spanning from road connectivity to basic facilities, which people in hilly and remote areas are facing. He reiterated SDP’s prime agenda of providing door-step education to the students of hilly areas.
He appealed to the people to positively contribute in the efforts of the SDP to carry forward its development agenda in all areas to address their grievances and accommodate their development needs.

Gatka Party felicitates Gursagar Singh Isher

Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) Parliamentary candidate for Jammu-Poonch constituency, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher was honored by Gatka party of Poonch, for representing Sikh community at national politics, during Nagar Keertan Parade organized by the Sikh community of Poonch to commemorate Hola Mohalla.
The Nagar Keertan Parade which commenced from Gurudwara Singh Sabha Poonch after traversing through the city of Poonch, culminated at same place, in which thousands of Sikh devotees participated despite heavy rains. Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also marched and chanted hymns along with Sikh devotees.
During the course of Parade, Gatka Party honoured Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher and congratulated him for being a voice of under-privileged people, especially Sikh Community.
Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher thanked people for making Nagar Keertan a grand success, despite bad weather. He said, “Nagar Keertan Parade of Hola Mohalla was worth watching, as the enthusiasm of the people conquest bad weather. People from all walks of life participated in this Nagar Keertan, which is the sign of healthy society and community,” said Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher.
During the course of the Parade, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher interacted with children and youth to boost their morale. He also greeted people on the occasion and distributed eatables among the devotees.
At the end of the Nagar Keertan Parade, Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher congratulated the organizers for success of the parade. Sardar Gursagar Singh Isher also paid obeisance at Gurudwara Nangali Sahib, Dehri Sahib and prayed for the wellbeing of all and success of SDP in upcoming elections.
